“Elephant Human Relations Aid”

I spent two incredible weeks volunteering with EHRA in Namibia back in 2018. I’ve always loved nature and wildlife, and elephants especially have always been fascinating to me. They just have an age-old sense of knowing about them. So when I had the opportunity to work with this group, I jumped at it! And the conservation work that they do made a real impression on me. A year and a half later, I am excited to partner with them to support their cause.

We have a few exciting things in the pipeline, but right now the COVID-19 pandemic has put this organisation in real danger of collapse. So to get things started, I have pulled together a few gorgeous products that capture the ethos of this organisation. $10AUD from every one of the items sold in my EHRA range will go directly to EHRA.

A little more about EHRA and what they do

Elephant-Human Relations Aid (EHRA) cultivates an extensive approach to desert elephant conservation in Namibia, Africa. They apply practical solutions to conflict-affected areas in order to reduce the “pain points” where the lives of humans and elephants intersect. This reduces the elephant’s greatest threat – humans. There are several initiatives they have come up with to support this that do this, including: waterpoint conservation on local farms, vehicle-based patrols to track and monitor the elephants, and community development and upliftment to help promote a positive relationship between elephants and humans in Namibia. They also fund an educational programme which empowers local community members through elephant-focused workshops, helping them live in harmony with elephants.
